Lake Shelbyville

Located at the edge of Illinois Amish Country is beautiful Lake Shelbyville.  Each year hundreds of thousands of visitors come from all over Illinois and surrounding states to visit Lake Shelbyville.  Members of the Illinois Dept. of Natural Resources, the US Army of Corp Engineers, and four private concessionaires partnered together to construct this 11,000 acre lake.  Surrounding Lake Shelbyville is 23,000 acres of land devoted to wooded area and state farming. 

Lake Shelbyville plays host to eight public campgrounds, three boat marinas, public beaches, picnic sites, and even a 18-hole championship golf course.  Miles of hiking trails wind around Lake Shelbyville provide wide variety of outdoor activities for outdoor family fun.

Marinas: 
Findlay Marina
Located on the middle section of Lake Shelbyville, four miles east of Findlay.  Findlay Marina offers many different services, including fishing boat, pontoon, and even houseboat rentals.  Boats can be rented by hour, day, or week during the boating season.  Findlay Marina also offers boat storage, boat maintenance, and slip rentals all year round for all sizes of boats and other personal watercraft.

Lithia Springs Marina
Lithia Springs Marina is located in the Lithia Springs Recreation Area on the southern end of Lake Shelbyville.   It offers houseboat and personal watercraft rentals throughout the boating season. Open and covered slips are available for rental for the full year.  Lithia also offers a gas dock, pump off service, and a Subway restaurant right on the lake.

Sullivan Marina
Located on the northern end of the lake, Sullivan marina is the newest marina on Lake Shelbyville, 3.2 miles south of Sullivan.  Featuring open and covered slips, access to a public beach, and on lake restaurant.  Sullivan marina also recently added motel rooms to provide more accommodations for those at the marina.
